“…The original SPE procedure developed for the pretreatment of the samples (using C2 cartridges) allowed to obtain good purification of the biological samples and satisfactory precision in relatively shorter times using low volumes of solvents. The extraction yields (>97%) obtained with the proposed method are higher than those obtained by other authors who used liquid -liquid extraction [18,25,27,36,37], or SPE with C18 [16,28], Oasis HLB or MCX cartridges [14,38]. The method is very selective: none of the drugs tested caused any interference in the analysis.…”

“…The sensitivity is higher when using precolumn derivatisation with UV detection [17]. Precolumn derivatisation with fluorimetric detection has also been carried out using labelling reagents such as 9-fluorenylethylchloroformate (overnight reaction) [18], 4-(N,N-dimethylaminosulphonyl)-7-fluoro-1,2,3-benzoxadiazole [19], 4-(4,5-diphenyl-1H-imidazol-2-yl)-benzoyl chloride [20,21] and FITC [22] obtaining good results but making the method quite complicated and time-consuming. Gas-chromatographic methods coupled with MS [23 -25] or LC-MS methods are reported, but these techniques are more expensive and complicated [26,27].…”

“…11,12 Serum samples were analyzed for the enantiomers of MAP and AP. 11 Urine samples were assayed for enantiomers of MAP, AP, and both unconjugated and conjugated forms of the enantiomers of OHMAP and OHAP.…”

“…11,12 Serum samples were analyzed for the enantiomers of MAP and AP. 11 Urine samples were assayed for enantiomers of MAP, AP, and both unconjugated and conjugated forms of the enantiomers of OHMAP and OHAP. 12 Linear standard curves for the assay of enantiomers of MAP and AP in serum were in the concentration range of 5-250 ng/mL with the intraday and interday coefficients of variation in the range of 2.1-18.6%.…”

“…Usually, enantiomer ratio of methamphetamine is measured through capillary electrophoresis (CE) [6][7][8], HPLC [9][10][11][12] and GC-MS [13][14][15][16][17][18][19][20]. Among the analytical techniques, GC-MS has been widely used for its convenience.…”
