Abstract:This paper presents simulation results on the performance of similarity metrices for image matching. Specifically, matching and determining the transformation between slightly rotated images are addressed. The use of a correlation function and an error function as similarity metrices is reexamined when there is a coupling between translation and rotation. Sensitivity of these two metrices in the above context is compared. A hybrid iterative strategy is proposed based on the sensitivity analysis to enhance the … Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
