Sensitivity of Multistage Fill Slope Based on Finite Element Model

Abstract: Based on the strength reduction method, the laws of slope displacement and the changing positions of the sliding surface during the filling process are studied. The model of multistage fill slope is established by the finite element software PLAXIS. The difference is compared between the slope with no reinforcement and with reinforcement under the same working condition. Sensitivity analysis is carried out from two aspects which are internal factors and external factors. The finite element analysis shows that … Show more

“…e gradual application of modern information technologies such as the Internet and big data in education and teaching has triggered changes in traditional majors and disciplines such as civil engineering and forced colleges and universities to reconstruct the talent training system for traditional industries. Especially in recent years, due to the impact of global climate change, the frequency and intensity of extreme climate events have increased significantly, affecting geological bodies in various ways and inducing a series of engineering geological disasters, such as subgrade collapses and house cracking [4][5][6][7].…”

“…Tension cracks in soil slopes significantly reduce their stability by allowing deeper and faster infiltration of water into the slopes. e formation of tension cracks depends on the type of soil, the degree of drying of the slope surface, and the availability or lack of water [16][17][18][19].…”
