Sepsis in the XXI Century: Etiology, Risk Factors, Epidemiological Features, Complications, Prevention

Abstract: Relevance. Sepsis is a life-threatening organ dysfunction caused by dysregulation of the body's response to infection. It is estimated that the annual number of sepsis cases worldwide could be 48 million.
