Sequence length polymorphisms within primate amelogenin and amelogenin‐like genes: usefulness in sex determination

Abstract: Sequence length polymorphisms between the amelogenin (AMELX) and the amelogenin-like (AMELY) genes both within and between several mammalian species have been identified and utilized for sex determination, species identification, and to elucidate evolutionary relationships.
