Abstract:For large-scale distributed systems, the knowledge component at the core of the MAPE-K loop remains elusive. In the context of end-to-end probing, fault monitoring can be recasted as an inference problem in the space-time domain. We propose and evaluate Sequential Matrix Factorization (SMF), a fully spatio-temporal method that exploits both the recent advances in matrix factorization for the spatial information and a new heuristics based on historical information. Adaptivity operates at two levels: algorithmic… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
