“…The story ofJABA's founding by the Society for the Experimental Analysis of Behavior (SEAB) was briefly recounted in a special section oftheJournal ofthe Experimental Analysis of Behavior (JEAB) that celebrated SEAB's and JEAB's 30th anniversaries (Hineline & Laties, 1987;Laties, 1987; see also Bailey, 1987;Wolf, 1993;Wright, 1993). About 5 years ago, several authors helped celebrate JABA's 20th anniversary by considering the outlook for this journal in light of some of its major contributions and possible shortcomings during the preceding two decades (Baer, 1987;Baer, Wolf, & Risley, 1987;Hopkins, 1987;Iwata, 1987; Kunkel, 1987; Wolf, Braukmann, & Ramp, 1987 made up of 1,923 institutions, 1,927 individuals, and 786 students-almost three times as many institutions, about the same number of individuals, but many fewer students. Table 1 contains 1992 paid circulation data for some of the journals that citeJABA often or are cited heavily byJABA, as well as for other well-established journals that are useful as benchmarks in assessing our performance.…”
