Seroprevalence of Hiv and HBsAg among Blood Donors of a Tertiary Care Hospital:A Cross Sectional Study from Khammam, Andhra Pradesh

Abstract: BackgroundBlood transfusions save lives of many people if they are properly screened. Blood transfusions are the major mode of transmission of infections such as HIV, Hepatitis B, HCV, Syphilis, malaria and many viral infections. This may be due to the lack of awareness and poor educational status of donors.
