Abstract:Background: Psoriasis is a chronic immune-mediated inflammatory skin disease, it is a disorder of both the innate and adaptive immune system. However, new updates are still emerging in its pathogenesis. Psoriasis is characterized by overexpression of antimicrobial peptides. Granulysin (GNLY) is an antimicrobial peptide that may have a role in psoriasis pathogenesis.
