Serum biomarkers of brain injury after uncomplicated cardiac surgery: Secondary analysis from a randomized trial

Abstract: Background: Postoperative cognitive dysfunction is common after cardiac surgery.Postoperative measurements of brain injury biomarkers may identify brain damage and predict cognitive dysfunction.
