Serum hepcidin is significantly associated with iron absorption from food and supplemental sources in healthy young women

Abstract: Serum hepcidin, but not prohepcidin, was inversely associated with iron absorption from supplemental and food-based nonheme-iron sources in iron-replete healthy women.
