Serum lipoprotein(a), and plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 in uncomplicated type 2 diabetes mellitus: a case–control study

Abstract: Background: Increased levels of lipoprotein (a) [Lp(a)] are indicative of coronary artery disease (CAD). Dyslipidemia, which is an established risk factor for CAD, is also an additional adverse effect of uncontrolled type 2 diabetes.
