“…In the last several years, a number of reviews have synthesized the findings of studies involving people with intellectual disability discussing sexuality and/or intimate relationships (for those exclusively using qualitative studies see: Black & Kammes, 2019; English et al, 2018; Fulford & Cobigo, 2018; Lam et al, 2019; and Whittle & Butler, 2018; for those drawing on both qualitative and quantitative studies see: Brown & McCann, 2018; Gallagher & Jennings, 2015; and Wilson et al, 2018). These reviews are invaluable for identifying widespread patterns of sexual ableism around the world, yet it is also useful to aggregate and analyse the recommendations researchers advocate in response to their findings.…”
