“…36,37 Thus, future studies should examine other potential technology-related enablers such as perceived ease of use from the technology acceptance model, 33 and computer literacy from theories of behavior. 38,39 Despite these limitations, our study has important research implications. First, we contributed to the literature by proposing a framework to examine factors affecting individuals' EHR usage.…”

“…However, current research on collaborative learning in virtual worlds explicitly or implicitly regards collaborative learning as a result of individual adoption of the virtual worlds and only uses the individual approach to study user behaviors in virtual worlds. Although I-intention models have dominated the studies of IS adoption and usage (Venkatesh et al, 2003(Venkatesh et al, , 2016Wu et al, 2022), we challenge this paradigm by introducing the concept of we-intention, which is more likely to develop influential theories (Chatterjee and Davison, 2021;Burton-Jones et al, 2021). We particularly empirically demonstrated the stronger effect of we-intention than I-intention in explaining collaborative learning in virtual worlds, moving beyond merely theoretical comparisons between we-intention and I-intention in prior studies (Bagozzi and Dholakia, 2002, 2006a, 2006b.…”

“…By doing so, our study contributes to theory and practice in the following ways. First, prior IS studies on technology adoption primarily assumed the use of certain technology is a person's individual decision or plan (Venkatesh et al, 2016;Bagozzi, 2007;Wu et al, 2022). However, it is not the case for virtual worlds, the use of which will be more meaningful only when a group of users uses them in a collective manner.…”
