Severe 2019 novel coronavirus pneumonia may cause lung bullae and bronchiectasis: A case report and concise literature review

Abstract: Most of the critically ill novel coronavirus 2019 pneumonia (NCP) patients progress promptly, and soon match the ARDS diagnostic criteria. When mechanical ventilation and prone position cannot reverse the fatal hypoxia—extra-corporeal-membrane-oxygenation (ECMO) will be applied as a salvage treatment if available.
