Abstract:This article reports a case of a 40-year-old woman with a history of myelomeningocele and neurogenic urinary incontinence who developed erosion and fistula formation following the placement of an artificial urinary sphincter (AUS) when she was 18 years old. The patient had a long-standing history of urinary incontinence that was unresponsive to prior surgeries for meningomyelocele.
