Severe Myocardial Steatosis

Abstract: Myocardial steatosis, also known as lipomatosis cordis, is characterized by adipose tissue within the myocardium without significant fibrosis. Evidence suggests that accumulation of fat can disturb the normal electromechanical physiology of the myocardium.
