Abstract: BackgroundFetal and Neonatal Alloimmune Thrombocytopenia (FNAIT) results from maternal platelet alloimmunization against paternal antigens inherited by the fetus, most often due to the Human Platelet Antigen (HPA)‐1 system in Caucasians.
