“…The few programs that do incorporate adults are limited in scope by topic, target audience, or a focus on STI and pregnancy prevention. In addition, because adult sexuality education is limited, parents often do not discuss sex with their children because they do not feel knowledgeable about the topic (Gilbert & Bailis, 1980;Reinisch, 1990, as cited in Brock & Jennings, 1993), are unaware of current information on the topic, have a high level of discomfort about discussing sex, and/or are unclear what values they should be teaching their children about sex (DiLorio, Pluhar, & Belcher, 2003;Miller et al, 2009).
