“…Assuming that sexual problems if occurring in the target population were noted by the attending physician their prevalence was remarkably low. In fact, decreased sexual desire was rare and dyspareunia appeared to be only slightly higher than that found in an epidemiological investigation of women 37 to 46 year old (11%) by Hagstad & Janson (1984). Experiences from a sexological department show, however, that 4% of their patients had dyspareunia, but as many as 43% were diagnosed as having inhibited (low) sexual desire (Nilsson 1985).…”
