Abstract: Purpose of the review Transgender and gender-diverse individuals (TGD) are at risk for sexually transmitted infections. Gender affirmation surgery is a cornerstone of care for many TGD individuals. For genital gender affirmation, the surgical creation of a vagina may be performed through a number of techniques.
