Sgoldstino-Higgs mixing in models with low-scale supersymmetry breaking

Abstract: We consider a supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model with lowscale supersymmetry breaking. Besides usual superpartners it contains additional chiral goldstino supermultiplet whose scalar components -sgoldstinos -can mix with scalars from the Higgs sector of the model. We show that this mixing can have considerable impact on phenomenology of the lightest Higgs boson and scalar sgoldstino. In particular, the latter can be a good candidate for explanation of 2σ LEP excess with mass around 98 GeV.

“…Sgoldstinos also mix with neutral Higgs bosons as described in Refs. [15][16][17]: the scalar sgoldstino S mixes with neutral light h and heavy H Higgs bosons, while pseudoscalar P mixes with axial Higgs A. In what follows we only account for the first mixing, since the other two do not change the sgoldstino phenomenology at SHiP for the set of models we investigate.…”

“…In writing (2.9), we assume following Ref. [52] that sgoldstino field φ does not acquire non-zero vacuum expectation value 4 . In this study, we address sufficiently small sgoldstino masses, hence the heavier Higgs boson H decouples and the remaining light states can be approximated by the following linear combination…”

“…It was shown in [52], that the third derivatives of sgoldstino Kähler potential can be adjusted in such a way that φ = 0. This condition can be relaxed to a certain extent: non-zero vev of φ affects sgoldstino-Higgs mixing in the order 1 F 2 and thus suppressed as compared to the leading contribution if φ < ∼ √ F .…”

“…Interactions of the latter with the Standard Model particles are determined by soft supersymmetry breaking parameters and suppressed by the supersymmetry breaking scale √ F . Collider phenomenology of sgoldstinos with masses of order electroweak scale have been discussed for instance in [10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18]. In Refs.…”
