Shaping the spectrum of random-phase radar waveforms.

Abstract: Noise and noise-like waveforms may be generated by random modulation of only the phase of a sequence of samples. Furthermore, the spectral characteristics of resulting waveform may be shaped by suitably constraining the statistics of the random phase modulations. This maximizes the Signal-to-Noise ratio of the output of a matched filter by shaping the autocorrelation of the resulting sequence.-4 - Acknowledgements
