Abstract:In the isolated stator sections 6/8 SRMs, wide stator teeth produce high flux, yet not all of this flux generates output torque. For proper design of the 6/8 SRM, the rotor teeth widths are less than the stator teeth widths, which means that not all the flux in the stator transfers to the rotor.
