Shear behavior of sand-expanded polystyrene beads lightweight fills

Abstract: Sand-expanded polystyrene (sand-EPS) beads lightweight fills are geomaterials formed by blending sands and EPS beads. Through direct shear and triaxial compression tests, effects of EPS ratios and stress status on materials' shear behavior were investigated.
