Ship trajectory data compression based on SH-DP algorithm

Abstract: The traditional Douglas Pucker (DP) ship trajectory compression algorithm usually suffers from high trajectory distortion and the loss of important trajectory "inflection points". The compressed data cannot restore the true traffic flow characteristics.
