Short Bowel Syndrome

Abstract: Short bowel syndrome (SBS) is defi ned as malabsorption due to insuffi cient intestinal surface area, with an inability to sustain an adequate nutritional, electrolyte, or hydration status in the absence of specialized nutritional support.
