Post larvae (PL-13/21) from hatchery and natural were used to stock in the study area. The highest mean stocking density was recorded in the ghers of Rampaul (16796±7729.69 PL/ha), where the maximum survival rate was also found (63.00±11.52 %). The highest dose of lime was recorded as 302.58±50.92 kg/ha at Bagerhat sadar; cowdu… Show more

“…In the experiment water parameters, such as pH, temperature, salinity and DO were varied from 7.7-8.1 28.4-32.7°C, 17.1-19.3 ppt and 7.7-8.3 mg/L respectively which is acceptable range for crab fattening according to Cholik and Hanafi (1992) and showed similarity with Begum et al, (2009). The water quality management is also supported by the study of different researcher (Ali et al, 2016;Shabuj et al, 2016;Shajib et al, 2017;Zafar et al, 2017;Rahman et al, 2018;Akter et al, 2018;Faruk et al, 2018;Biswas et al, 2018;Billah et al, 2019).In the present experiment, 100% survival was obtained for crabs fed with Chicken intestine and Apple snail meat. The other feeds had lower survival rate and it was 90%.…”

“…Mollah et al (1990) conducted that the farmers have major constraints as; 72.50% of farmers reported theft was one of the main problems followed by financial problem (40%), lack of contact with fisheries officer (37.75%), lack of fish seeds (27.50%) and lack of feeds (23.75%) which hampered the production in Laxmipur district which has no similarity with the present study. The similar study on prospects and constrains were conducted by Shabuj et al (2016); Chowdhury et al (2015); ; Yeasmin et al (2015); Razeim et al (2017); Rahman et al (2015); ; ; ; Shabuj et al (2015); ; Islam et al (2016) and Hossain et al (2017).…”

Obviously, the potential exists for the antibiotics to affect adversely natural bacterial communities.…”
