Abstract: on an elastic rod 3, which is attached to a case 2. Light from a source 4 is reflected by a mirror 25 atop the mass to an array 14 of optical fibers or photo sensors. A damping device 17 keeps the mass from' oscillating excessively.-EEU tance from the ear. Provision is also made for rotating the arm carrying the ear defender so it can be swung up and held against the helmet by the toggle spring action when the ear defender is not in use.-SFL 4,188,504 43.66.
