Abstract:In this paper, we investigate the transport properties of spinful electrons tunnel-coupled to a finite-length Majorana nanowire on one end which is further tunnel-coupled to a quantum dot (QD) at the other end. Using a full counting statistics approach, we show that Andreev reflection can happen in two separate channels that can be associated with the two spin states of the tunneling electrons. In a low-energy model for the nanowire that is represented by two overlapping Majorana bound states (MBSs) localized … Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
