Significant weight loss in breastfed term infants readmitted for hyperbilirubinemia

Abstract: BackgroundWeight loss of greater than 7% from birth weight indicates possible feeding problems. Inadequate oral intake causes weight loss and increases the bilirubin enterohepatic circulation.
