Silica Nanoparticles/Phenol Novalac Epoxy Resin Nanocomposites via Vacuum Shock Technique: Effect of Silica Nanoparticles on Curing Kinetic
Abstract:In this study, curing kinetic of phenol novalac epoxy resin with and without presence of silica nanoparticles (SN) was evaluated. In this case, the dynamic curing process was studied by usage of diffrential scanning calorimetry (DSC) with and without addition of silica nanoparticles in 4 heating rates, 2, 5, 10 and 15°C/min. Despite of that, from DSC analysis, the reaction exotherm was processed in order to obtain the reaction kinetic data such as the degree of reaction and the rate of reaction at different ti… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
