Silicon substances for restoration of oil-contaminated areas

Abstract: Numerous investigations demonstrate that active forms of silicon (Si) enhance the plant tolerance against abiotic stresses by several mechanisms, including increasing the antioxidant activities and minimizing oxidative damage.
