Abstract: The discovery of almost invariable mouse double minute 2 (MDM2) amplification among atypical lipomatous tumors (ALT)/well-differentiated liposarcoma and dedifferentiated liposarcoma is incorporated into the contemporary diagnostic workup of fatty lesions.
