Simulating Progressive Cavity Pump for Multiphase Flow and Production System Design

Abstract: A progressive cavity pump (PCP) characterization model is developed to predict flow characteristics under varying multiphase flowing conditions. This paper presents a procedure for modeling PCPs and its integration to grid-based network solvers including successively accelerated substitution (SAS) and Newton-based.
