Simulation of Improper Construction Procedure and Crack Analysis

Abstract: Based on the real construction technology, process and environment of Yuquanxi Bridge, the finite element method was applied in the research to make sure the crack mechanism and find out the impact of improper construction procedure on cracks of Block No.0. By comparing the numerical results with actual cracks condition, the impact of improper construction procedure on cracks of Block No.0 is uncovered clearly and it proves that to master of correct construction procedures and methodology is of great importanc… Show more

“…Construction simulation analysis plays a vital role in providing a theoretical foundation and data reference for the construction of complex building structures. [30][31][32] Finite element software enables simulation analysis of structures with intricate force transmission paths and challenging determination of stress concentration positions, key nodes, and weak areas. This analysis is crucial in ensuring the safety of construction plans and providing guidance for actual construction, thereby preventing engineering accidents.…”

“…In practice, concrete is always simulated by 3-D solid element. As for reinforcement, it is usually simulated by linear element considered its slender property [2,3]. This is the most common modeling method, and in Ansys, it is usual simulated concrete by SOLID65 element and reinforcement by LINK8 element, just as in this PPSCB model.…”
