Simultaneous determination of l-tryptophan impurities in meat products

Abstract: L-tryptophan has been used as a feed additive for swine and poultry and as a nutrient supplement for humans. However, some impurities in l-tryptophan have been reported as causative components of eosinophilia-myalgia syndrome. Therefore, from a safety perspective, it is important to analyze meat samples for these impurities.
