with a B S In 1961, an M.S. in 1963. and a Ph D. in 1964. spent a year as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Purdue University, and |olned the faculty at UNO in 1965. His present research Interests Include ultraviolet and light absorption spectrometry, reaction-rate analyses, heteropolymoiybdate chemistry, and on-line computer applications to chemical problems. He has authored or coauthored numerous research papers, an Instrumental analysis laboratory manual, an introductory analytical chemistry textbook, and chapters In several monographs dealing with spectrophotometry. Dr. Hargis holds membership in the American Chemical Society (Analytical and Education divisions). Phi Lambda Upsilon, and Sigma XI.
