“…Among the isolated compounds, 5,7‐ dihydroxy‐3,4′‐dimethoxyflavone [ 6 ] was isolated from this genus for the first time, whereas 4‐hydroxy‐α – tetralone [ 4 ] and regiolone [ 7 ] have been reported as constituents of J. mandshurica , J. nigra and green husks of J . regia . In addition, compounds 3 and 5 have previously been isolated from J. cathayensis , J. mandshurica and leaves of J. regia .…”

“…In order to improve the resolution and symmetry of the peak, acetic acid and potassium dihydrogen phosphate were compared as modifi ers. In a previous study, 2% acetic acid was used as a mobile phase modifi er (Liu et al, 2008a), but in this experiment it was found that a more stable baseline could be obtained when using 10 mM potassium dihydrogen phosphate as a modifi er in the mobile phase, which could improve the sensitivity of the analytes. In addition, when the pH value of potassium dihydrogen phosphate solution was adjusted to 3, the mobile phase achieved better separation and symmetry of the peak, because the ionization of phenolic hydroxyl groups in the analytes which were easily ionized in a water system could be restrained under acidic conditions.…”

“…In a previous study by our team, an HPLC method was developed for simultaneous determination of three diarylheptanoids (Juglanin A, Juglanin B, Rhoiptelol) and Regiolone in green walnut husks (Liu et al, 2008a). However, this method was found not to be suitable for plasma samples.…”
