Simultaneous spectrophotometric determination of diclofenac potassium and methocarbamol in binary mixture using chemometric techniques and artificial neural networks

Abstract: In this study, the simultaneous determination of diclofenac potassium (DP) and methocarbamol (MT) by chemometric approaches and artificial neural networks using UV spectrophotometry has been reported as a simple alternative to using separate models for each component. Three chemometric techniques-classical least-squares (CLS), principal component regression (PCR), and partial least-squares (PLS)-along with radial basis function-artificial neural network (RBF-ANN) were prepared by using the synthetic mixtures c… Show more

“…Quantitative spectrum analysis frequently uses the chemometric calibration methods outlined above to extract selected information from unselective data 25 . The primary benefits of these methods are the faster data processing of concentration and absorbance values of substances with significantly overlapping spectra 26 . Additionally, by measuring the absorbance values at numerous locations in the wavelength range of the zero‐order and derivative spectra, the inaccuracies of calibration models are reduced 27 .…”
