“…Polymorphism study in the g.565G>A GHR locus found that the AA genotype had the highest frequency (0.726) than the AG (0.172) and GG (0.102) in overall population. Similar result was reported in Vietnamese (0.86, Khoa et al, 2013), Noi (1.00, Khoa et al, 2013), Xinghua (1.00, Lei et al, 2007), and White Plymouth Rock (1.00, Lei et al, 2007) chickens. Ouyang et al (2008) could not detect the g.565G>A GHR polymorphism using DHPLC detection in Leghorn layer, White Recessive Rock broiler, Taihe Silkies, and Xinghua chickens.…”

“…At G662A of GH gene, the AA genotype frequency in Mia breed was higher (0.50) as compared to the GG frequency (0.03). This result is consistent with a previous study, which showed that the AA genotype was major and GG was minor in local chicken breeds in Vietnam (Khoa et al, 2013). At the C423T SNP of GH gene, CC genotype had a higher frequency than TT.…”

“…For the T3737C SNP of INS, no CC genotype was observed. In previous studies, the CC genotype was observed with quite low frequency: 1% in the Coob lines and 3% in the Noi chicken breed ( Khoa et al, 2013). The reason of non-occurrence of the CC genotype in this study is probably due to the low frequency of the C allele in this population and the small sample size (expected number of CC under HWE conditions is only 1.72).…”

“…En 12 12 and En 40 are the number of eggs for 12 and 40 weeks of productive period, respectively; Ew 30 and Ew 52 are the egg weight on the week 30 and the week 52 weeks of life, respectively; MspI, SacI are restriction endonucleases. Refer to the body of the article for genotype description by allelic variants.…”

“…It was shown that several different types of SNP's (G565A, A1512T, etc.) affecting the intronic and exonic parts, as well as nontranslated 5 and 3 gene regions, are present [8,12,13]. It was found that the allelic variants of the GHR gene are associated with quality indices of shell and live weight, as well as with chicken dwarfism.…”
