Single-step laser sintering of YSZ powder-beds to TBC applications

Abstract: Ceramics are widely employed as thermal insulating materials for thermal barrier coatings (TBC) due to their low thermal conductivity, chemical stability, and high wear and corrosion resistance at high temperatures.
