Abstract: The study aims to shed light on the strengths of the primary school teaching profession and the fundamental skills that a primary school teacher (PST) should have while also taking into account the views of the PSTs. “…In the study, in which criterion sampling, one of the purposeful sampling methods, was adopted, taking all the courses in the 2018 Primary School Teaching curriculum was taken as a criterion. In order to collect data, a semi-structured interview form consisting of two parts and developed by the researchers and the self-efficacy beliefs scale developed by Sarikaya and Sökmen (2021) for primary school teachers and teacher candidates were used.
