Sınıf Öğretmenlerinin Çocuklarda Yaratıcılığa İlişkin Görüşleri

Abstract

Bu çalışmada sınıf öğretmenlerinin çocuklarda yaratıcılığa ilişkin görüşleri fenomenolojik bir yaklaşım benimsenerek incelenmiştir. Veri toplama aracı olarak araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilen yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılmıştır. Araştırma verileri 2021-2022 eğitim-öğretim yılında 25 sınıf öğretmeni ile yapılan yüz yüze görüşmelerle toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde içerik analizinden yararlanılmış katılımcı görüşleri anahtar sözcükler halinde kodlanarak temalar oluşturulmuştur. Verilerin analizi sonucunda sınıf öğretmenlerinin yaratıcılığı daha çok kişisel bir beceri ve ürün olarak değerlendirdiği, ürün olarak daha çok özgünlük ve yeniliğe vurgu yaptıkları kişisel beceri olarak ise kalıpların dışına çıkma, hayal kurabilme becerisi olarak gördükleri belirlenmiştir. Öğretmenler çocuklarda yaratıcılığı tanımlarken daha çok sergiledikleri davranış örüntüleri ve kişisel özellikleri içeren metaforlar oluşturdukları sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Ayrıca sınıf öğretmenlerinin, çocuklarda yaratıcılık becerilerini artırmak için ağırlıklı olarak, beyin fırtınası, örnek olay, drama gibi yöntem ve teknikleri kullandıkları bunların dışında zekâ oyunları, resim yapmak gibi etkinliklere yer verdikleri tespit edilmiştir. Son olarak sınıf öğretmenlerinin merkezi eğitim sistemini, öğrencilerin kişisel özelliklerini, öğretmenlerin akademik yetersizliğini, okul binalarının ve ikliminin elverişsiz olmasını ve aile/toplumdan kaynaklı değişkenleri çocuklarda yaratıcılığı desteklemeyi engelleyen faktörler olarak algıladıkları tespit edilmiştir.
