Síntese e caracterização dos nanocompósitos K0,1(PEO)xMoS2 (X= 0,5; 1,2)

Abstract: Recebido em 29/4/97; aceito em 29/6/98 SYNTHESIS AND CHARACTERISATION OF THE NANOCOMPOSITES K 0,1 (PEO) X MoS 2 (x= 0,5; 1,2). The reaction of an aqueous solution of poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO -mw 100.000) with a neutral aqueous suspension of single layers of MoS 2 was studied. The single layers aqueous suspension was prepared by first intercalating lithium (using n-Butyllithium in n-hexane) and reaction of these ternary compound with water under ultrasound stirring. The suspension was washed several times with… Show more

“…It was noted for many examples, that alkali metal cations enter into the interlayer space (0.1 ± 0.2 atom per T atom) along with a polymer. 101,103,139,140,144,145 This agrees with the retention of the charge separation between the guest and the host in these intercalation compounds as in the case of compounds with molecular guests.…”

“…The recent trend to synthesize new nanocomposites based on layered hosts with polymer guests (especially poly(ethylene oxide)) has shown very promising results, and a large number of potential applications of these compounds have been reported, specially in the fabrication of rechargeable batteries, ionic/electronic conductors, electrochromic devices, and fillers to reinforce polymers.…”

“…The most common preparation method is based on a prior separation of the single layers in aqueous media, followed by the adsorption of the polymer, with a subsequent restacking of the layers forming the nanocomposite. , …”
