“…It is clear that incorporation of SiO 2 ‐VB 1 into PVA causes a decrease in contact angle and presumed to be zero in NC 7 wt% after 8 seconds. The enhanced hydrophilicity should be because of the surface hydroxyl groups and high surface area of SiO 2 that can form hydrogen bonds with water molecules . Thus contact angle measurements indicate that SiO 2 ‐VB 1 improved the hydrophilicity of PVA which leading to their utilization in the agriculture industry and biomedical applications, such as drug delivery.…”

“…Our group has recently demonstrated that Fe-PILC is able to reduce the high reflective index of silica and aluminum in total clay particles throughout the spectral range of 400-700 nm. 9,13,14 This reduction becomes stronger at 520 nm. The reflective curves of cotton also decrease as the surface roughness increases due to the aggregation of nanoparticles.…”

“…For comparison, glass fiber layered mesh sewn with polyester thread (S4) also having the same basis weight. 229 × 23 (mm 2 ) diameter discs were cut from the nets thus obtained, from which discs were tested for disc wear test as well as rectangular samples with dimensions of 53 × 73 (mm 2 ) and a thread angle of 45° [2] in accordance with the recommendations of ASTM Standard D 7078 and described in the publication [6], which were crosslinked at 160°C during 4 hours.…”
