<p>Administrative management of the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business (FEBI) at State Islamic University of Sjech M. Djamil Djambek Bukittinggi is still ineffective, where mail management is still done manually or semi-automatically. However, the number of letters published is still limited. The situation in this faculty often results in long queues when students need to collect their letters. Students have to come directly to the faculty to check whether the letters they have submitted have been issued or not. However, there is currently no specific information system in place to manage administrative difficulties linked to letter submission and issuance at FEBI. As a result, improvements in this area are required to boost the efficiency and convenience of administrative procedures at the faculty. The purpose of this research is to create an Administration System for Letter Submission and Issuance at the Faculty of Economics and Islamic Business, UIN Bukittinggi, utilizing the Laravel framework and the MySQL database. This technology enables users to manage correspondence online, making it more productive and efficient. This study uses the Research and Development (RnD) version of the Pressman waterfall model. The system was built using Visual Studio Code software and using the Laravel framework as the back end and CSS bootstrap as the front end. The system can help students in managing correspondence effectively and efficiently.</p>

The Mail Archive Management Information System at the Lombok Tengah Education Office was created for the effectiveness and efficiency of storing or managing incoming mail archives and outgoing mail archives at the Education Office. Management of mails that still use the manual method, namely by storing mail archives on folders, makes frequent errors in storage such as: loss of mails, tearing of mails and so on, as well as errors in recording and the duration of data searching. This Mail Archive Management Information System was designed and built using the waterfall method and MVC (Model View Controller) as the programming method, this information system is web-based, created using the PHP framework, namely CodeIgniter, HTML, Javascript, and CSS. As for the server, it uses a default Codeigniter local server. The management of the mail archives generated by the system is able to speed up the data searching process and is able to monitoring the amount of incoming mail, outgoing mail and the number of users using the system.

Perkembangan teknologi informasi yang semakin pesat saat ini menuntut kita untuk mampu mengikuti perkembangannya. Komunikasi secara digital di era modern dapat menjadi salah satu ancaman akan adanya penyadapan, penyalahgunaan informasi, dan pencurian data penting yang tidak diinginkan oleh pihak yang tidak berwenang. Apalagi jika informasi tersebut bersifat rahasia dan memliki ruang lingkup yang luas dalam kenegaraan. Oleh karena itu, keamanan penyimpanan data menjadi sangat penting. Data yang terdapat pada surat masuk ataupun surat keluar dalam satu sekolah juga memliki kerahasiaan yang harus dijaga, kemana surat dikirimkan dan dari mana surat berasal juga menjadi salah satu hal yang perlu dijaga kerahasiannya. Atas dasar inilah peneliti ingin membangun sistem informasi manajemen surat yang berfokus pada penyimpanan data surat atau database surat. Dari berbagai metode penyandian yang ada hingga saat ini, salah satunya adalah metode Kriptografi Blowfish yang menggunakan blok cipher 64-bit dengan panjang kunci variabel. Proses enkripsi pada penelitian ini merupakan proses memberikan kunci rahasia pada surat tersebut agar surat tersebut berubah menjadi tulisan sandi yang tidak dapat dipahami oleh pihak yang tidak berwenang. Proses deskripsi merupakan proses menterjemahkan kembali surat yang telah terahasia agar pihak sekolah dapat membaca surat yang dimaksud. Dari hasil pengujian sistem informasi, sistem informasi manajemen surat dapat menerapkan Algoritma Blowfish dengan baik, hal ini ditandai dengan adanya perubahan nomor surat, tanggal pengiriman surat serta tujuan pengiriman surat pada saat proses enkripsi maupun pada saat proses dekripsi.
