Abstract: The list of Italian violinist-composers who settled in the British Isles during the eighteenth century includes Pietro Castrucci, Francesco Geminiani, Felice Giardini, Francesco Barsanti and a member of one of the most renowned musical families of Italy, Francesco Scarlatti.
