Abstract:Motivated by the limitations of classical models in capturing the behavior of materials at the micro/nanoscales, this work proposes an analytical formulation for thermoelastic damping (TED) in circular cross-sectional micro/nanobeams with size-dependent mechanics and heat transfer.
