Skippyjon, Spanglish, and Stereotypes

Abstract: This case study engages Latinx Critical Race Theory to explore how a course on bilingualism, bilingual education, and Latinx youth in a Midwestern teacher preparation program developed preservice teachers' critical race and cultural consciousness.
